LMD Invited to Visit with the Congregation of North Shore United Methodist Church

Congregational Town Hall at North Shore United Methodist Church - Canyon Lake, Texas was a success this past Sunday, March 6th, 2016 after the 11:00 o'clock service. LMD Architects PLLC., has been working with the Planning Committee to assess their needs and the best design for their needs.  They were extremely excited to discuss plans for a new sanctuary & education building.  We were able to present a schematic design to the congregation and had a quetion and answer session afterward.

Texas Jail News: Interim Committee to Take a Closer Look at Jail Safety

 

Lt. Gov.Dan Patrickand state Sen. John Whitmireon August 18th, 2015 announced the creation of an interim jail safety study committee to look at issues related to mental health and suicide concerns among inmates.  "Suicides in our jails have been in the news," Patrick said. "It's drawn the attention, quite frankly, of senators on both sides of the aisle."

Not only has Lt. Governor Dan Patrick brought light on this very important issue but wants to see changes made in Texas jails and prisons that are not up to the Texas Commission of Jail Standards.

Karnes County Courthouse Roof Restoration Project

DSA Architects Karnes County Courthouse Roof Restoration project was awarded MJ Boyle Contractor Inc. This project will be funded with a $450,000 grant received from the Texas Historical Commission (THC). Construction will begin March 2015 and be completed in 180 days.

New Project Karnes County restoration of the 1894 Courthouse

Lorraine M. Dailey was hired in 2012 to assist Karnes County in the restoration of their 1894 Courthouse. The west side exterior restoration (Phase 1) and Foundation Stabilization (Phase 1A) have been completed and Karnes County is now ready to move to Phase 1B – Roof Restoration.Recently, the Texas Historical Commission awarded a $450,000 Emergency Grant to Karnes County for the Roof Restoration (Phase 1B) project.
